The Blue Lagoon resort is in the heart of Anna Maria Island just a short walk from gulf beaches. Here you’ll find cottage like units in a small six unit condo complex.  A thread on TripAdvisor forum goes on to mention the three single story buildings are very nice with most units surrounding a gorgeous pool.  Each cottage has a small fenced in patio and makes it a perfect stay for toddlers.  The amenities inside are all update with stainless steel and granite counters.  The guest mentions it is an easy 1 1/2 block walk to the beach.

A review on VRBO.com mentions they were worried about sharing the pool area with so many other people but the other families were nice and all guests were respectful.  The guest enjoyed sitting in their patio with a glass of wine watching their children play in the pool.  A relaxing vacation for all.

Five spacious cottages surround a large tropical heated pool.  The pool is equipped with a 10 foot waterfall centerpiece. Plenty of lounge chairs along with a tiki hut table lets all visitors to Blue Lagoon enjoy relaxing pool side.

Each cottage is set up with fully stocked kitchens that have been updated to include stainless steel appliances along with extra large granite counters and dishwashers.  The rest of the interior show a coastal flare with televisions in all bedrooms and wi fi internet included.  All properties include a stacked washer and dryer for guest convenience.

Outside there is a private patio with open iron clad fencing equipped with lounge chairs and a small propane gas grill.  Let the family enjoy the pool while cooking out!

Within a short walk is the Beach Bistro, ideal for up-scale direct gulf front dinners.  Not all tables have a gulf front view and all seating is inside with a bar as you walk in.  For more casual dining, fantastic food awaits at Hurricane Hanks just a few blocks away.  On your way, stop in at The Sand Dollar Shop, one of the more popular gift shops on Anna Maria Island.  They provide home decor, jewelry, clothes, baby items, and much more.  Note, Hurricane Hanks and the Holmes Beach shopping plaza is about a 15 block walk along Holmes Beach boulevard where a sidewalk is provided for the majority of the way.
