Originally from Rochester, NY, Larry received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at Rochester Institute of Technology. His previous leadership experience with General Motors, General Electric, and Precision Castparts Corporation has prepared him well for his position as Broker-Owner of Island Real Estate.

Larry has owned Anna Maria Island investment property while living in Europe, on the East Coast, and in the Mid-West.  Furthermore, Larry has first-hand personal knowledge in regards to real estate on Anna Maria Island.  He has purchased several Anna Maria Island businesses, various commercial real estate, commercial vacant land, multiple single family homes, several multi-family homes, constructed an Anna Maria Island commercial building as well as developing sewer and water lines with Manatee County, constructed multiple single family homes, performed multiple major Anna Maria Island renovations as well as renting on Anna Maria Island in a commercial, annual and seasonal settings.  Most recently Larry led and is part owner of a direct gulf front Holmes Beach Condominium project.  It is this Anna Maria Island Real Estate first-hand experience that gives him a fantastic understanding of all the concerns that are involved with the purchase and management of real property on Anna Maria Island.  Last but not least, for more than a decade Larry has led the Island Real Estate Vacations division with the assistance of a fantastic leadership team.

Larry’s resume abounds with continuing education and achievements. A more recent accomplishment was his graduation from the Florida Realtor Leadership Academy, where he was one of only twelve Florida Real Estate professionals handpicked to attend the year long program.   A considerable milestone given there are more than 200,000 real estate professionals in the State of FL and the academy is a highly sought out program year after year. 

Larry has been extremely active in the Anna Maria Island community acting as a director, executive leader and Chairman of the board on the Anna Maria Island Chamber of Commerce.  In addition, for almost two decades Larry has been instrumental in bridging the gap between Anna Maria Island Cities and their noise and trash expectations generated by the ever growing Vacation Rental growth on the island.  Larry led the effort to start the Anna Maria Island Property Association (AMIVPA) which at it's peak had almost 1,000 rental property owners enrolled.  From Larry, "The mission of AMIVPA is to attract responsible property managers that continue to lean into vacation rental management.  It is our job to ensure the tourism our rental industry generates continues to respect our full and part time residents.  We are here to find reasonable solutions that minimize the affect tourism plays in our paradise called Anna Maria Island."   Finally, in 2016 Larry was named "Anna Maria Island Business Person of the year." 

Larry has enjoyed investment property ownership on Anna Maria Island since 1994 as well as full time residency since 2005.  Larry enjoys family time with his wife Jennifer and two boys, Grayson who attends college in North Carolina and Landon who is enrolled the Manatee County School system.
