Bortell's Lounge

Bortell's Lounge is an Anna Maria City staple that, for a while, was gone but not forgotten. This building itself is a piece of island history, as  over the many decades it's had various names and uses, settling on it's current moniker in 1977. Though is changed hands over the years it's purpose remained the same, serving good drinks and great conversation. Bortell's Lounge closed their doors for renovations in 2016, but they've reopened with a new look and the same purpose.

Bortell's Lounge has many great things going for it, beyond it's long history here on the island. Location is key, and Bortell's Lounge boasts one of the best locations on the island. Nestled on Gulf Dr and Spring Ave, this sports bar is just a short walk away from some of the best beaches that the island has to offer. So whether you're on your way to the sands or heading back from them, you can stop in for a refreshing drink. They also have excellent food as well, pub style food like burgers and chicken tenders refereed too as FRIED THUMBS. Great food, great drinks, and many games on the multiple TVs that  decorate the bar.
