It is heartwarming to see that in the aftermath of Helene and Milton, everyone across the island from locals to businesses, to contracted workers have come together to face this unimaginable challenge with unwavering spirit, love, determination and a will to fight this battle together.
Our beautiful island has taken a catastrophic 1 2 punch that has devastated our community and will take time to recover. In light of this the city of Holmes Beach has placed a moratorium on vacation rentals until November 16th. During this time of consideration, we are asking our guests staying prior to the 16th to reschedule your vacation on AMI. If your dates are flexible and you are able to arrive at a later date to give our community time to recover from the hurricanes, we would be grateful to have your continued support. If rescheduling isn't an option, we will happily provide a full refund and hope to regain your business in the future. If you purchased travel insurance through our company please reach out to Red Sky to start a claim https://redskyinsurance.com/our-products/sun-trip-preserver We will begin the process of reaching out to future guests arriving after the 16th in the coming days.
While access to Anna Maria Island will be allowed for vacation renters soon there are still areas where it is not safe or is closed completely for everyone including some roads. MOST BEACHES ON AMI ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC DUE TO SAFETY CONDITIONS, for the time being. While Coquina Beach is closed during Hurricane Debris Operations. All other public beaches within the City of Bradenton Beach are open. There is a no swim advisory for all AMI waters. Victory and success in the midst of adversity are achieved by those who come together to conquer each day anew. We will get through this, the island will recover, and as a community, we will be better because we survived this together. They say it takes a village and we love this village!!! AMI STRONG

Each day, we are starting to see boutique shops and restaurants that we all know and love reopening. These businesses need our support now more than ever! If on island, please enjoy a cold drink or a hot cup of coffee where you can, order from the limited menu, buy the hat, flip flops, or beach bag, tip more than expected, smile, give a hug... If you don't live here and want to show support from afar while waiting for the island to open up to vacationers, please contact your favorite businesses to purchase gift cards, or order online, or offer your support through donations! Every little bit helps!
